Byron Art Show 2021

We are very excited to share with you some of the fantastic artwork that our students have created this year. In the midst of this pandemic our students have used art as an outlet to express themselves, to heal emotionally, and to raise awareness. They've created art that is beautiful, powerful, and some that challenges their audience to think about complex topics. Here you will see a range of skills, media, and subject matter. You will see that art and design holds more power than just a pretty picture, but a truly meaningful work that captures an audience. Many of our young artists may not become an artist or a designer or even pursue a creative field, but all of them will use the skills they use in the art room in the lives they lead. So as you look through our art show this year keep in mind that what you're looking at is more than a picture, it's problem solving, practice, conceptual development, blood, sweat, and tears (even though we try to avoid all three), it's the product of constructive criticism, revisions, and growth. What you're looking at is not the beginning of a "starving artist", it's the beginning of a child who is learning how to be creative, how to problem solve, and how to express themselves through a visual. These children who will someday create the shows we watch, the logos we identify, the products we purchase, our clothes, our interior spaces, our buildings, and more. These children are the creativity of our future. So please look and even more importantly praise them for all their hard work.

Please click on the following link to enjoy our show. Its rather large so give it a minute to load. Thank you and have an awesome day!
